Trip to Ecuador
By Patricia Almeida
Returning to visit the country of origin is a return to the source of what has forged our person, since it is there where the roots of those beginnings in life are, which can sometimes be complicated moments and others satisfactory, but always with the joy of living and sharing that comes naturally in most of the countries of what we call the “Third World”.
This trip has also been an opportunity to present OFELIA and its work both to Swiss authorities and to potential partners who will allow us to do our bit to improve the living conditions of rural populations isolated from urban centers and where this support is more necessary than ever so that we do not leave behind a people who are lagging behind in this “development” which must be respectful of their environment and culture.
So thank you @Marianne Jenni, Ambassador of Switzerland in Ecuador, @Michael Stadler, Coordinator of International Cooperation, for your time and for the frank and pleasant discussion about OFELIA’s projects and for the suggestions so that we can carry them out.
Thank you also @Daniela Cruz, by coinciding with OFELIA’s vision that it is desirable that commodity ventures control the entire value chain by providing them with the respective know-how together with the necessary technology. A special thank you @Juan Francisco Marañón for the time spent in meetings with OFELIA to outline a future collaboration. Thank you all!
Finally, imagination was also present to allow us to put on the table one of the OFELIA flyer, together with the bookmark that show our objectives and information on where to find us.
